Did you know that native americans in canada have a card that
allows them to buy things at a cheaper price. Its called a status
card. It also lets them hunt and fish as much as they want
without a license. Its not even just left at that, they have
special educational programs at school as well. That fucking
cards gives them tons of advantage over white people and everyone
else.How can a government promote equality, how can anyone promote
equality (seeing as how natives always complain about how they want
to be treat the same as US FUCKIN WHITIES, when they're giving or
getting free shit forbeing
a certain race. As a white person I find
it very difficult to treat some drunk homeless fucking indian, the
same;as I'd treat a drunk homeless white person. And,let me
clarify, that is not because of the colour of their skin or any
other reason.
It is because I know they'd had a huge advantage over that
homeless white person. Im not going to lie. I'd feel that the
native person, was probably a shitload scummier, and I can
definately say that I'd feel alot less sorry for them. It is
conditional,it depends on what has happened to the person, but in
general, at first glance that would be how I feel. ESPECIALLY SINCE
THERE ARE FUCKING PROGRAMS SPECIFICALLY TO HELP HOMELESS INDIANS
(NO ONE ELSE JUST INDIANS!!!!), AND GODAMMIT THEY SHOULD
APPRECIATE IT, GET THEY'RE FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER. If I was
homeless I'd have a hell of alot harder timegetting help then some
lazy native person.
And, as a majority, they really do not look good as race by the
way they present themselves. Have you ever been to canada. The
majority of the bums are native. In BC that is. So how am I
supposed to
feel about them when the majority of them
are poor and homeless, even after they've gotten
all these benefits. SO, I think the government should quit. Let
everyone be equal, let there be no reason for racism and see how
all the native americans fair without there free fucking shit. We
could be putting money into so much better things.Now, I'm sure
you're all thinking. BUT LOOK AT HOW
POORLY THEY WERE TREATED. WHITE PEOPLE STOLE THEIR LAND. Yes that was terrible. But that happened over 200 years ago. And I'm not going to, nor should anyone else, feel guilty for a crime they did not commit. I dont feel that I should have to pay for something I did not do. But that
is what our government is teaching us, feel bad that your white,
and that is just as bad as a white person making some one else feel
like shit for being, native, asian,black, ect. And,
all the native kids that
I've talked to, who come from well off families (and, let me
clarify,
these are people that would've made it whether they had these
advantages or not). Say that they would be just fine if they
didnt have a status card, they dont really care who's land
they
live on, and they certainly do not want to be on some fucking
reserve eating ferns and hunting for their food. They are
perfectly happy being Canadian. These people, native people, who
are looking for these free benefits and causing shit because
they want there land back, dont have any ground. They're just
looking for a free ticket. Its not because they think they'd be
better off if they had they're own land, its because ;they're
too fucking lazy to work like ever other fucking person
in Canada. What the fuck would they do if they got their land back
anyways?
They wouldnt set up teepees and have pow wows they'd just open up a
casino or bar and probably manage it poorly. That's not expressing
appreciation for your culture. Thats getting a
handout for doing fuck all.

To tell you the truth, Im native(23) and your little story was interesting. For the most part, but I believe that the next time you start saying negitive things about Natives you should do your home work. Nobody had their land stolen, not me, or the Native guy down the road. If you DID do any reading about this then you would have known about the treaty of 1850 or any other treaty from that era.
These agreements was for ALL natives to have Education Rights and Land Rights. All you see is the Negitive side of the picture. You need to look at this from both sides if you really want to know how it effects us. What are 'you' losing by having Native peoples using schools, getting medical help, and mostly living on a piece of land nobody else wants. Think about this, what if it was reversed, would you like to have land rights to SWAMPS AND MARSH'S with a bonus of Medical and Education? Probably not. But us native are not hard to please, we are an easy going people, considering it was the white people who introduced us to the alcohol. Im not saying YOU specificly, but it is definitly debatable.
The TREATY's are old, true. But the government cannot just change something because some people simply dont like it. Everyone speeds on the highway, are they gonna change that, just because its seems right and you think its ok to do? Legislation is a powerful thing, and everything has to go through parliment which in turn could take years. The Government pays Native communities to live because it is plausable thought these treaties years ago. If it was ever to go to the Supreme Courts, it would be your government of KANADA in ODAWA, that would have to pay the lawyers to fight against yourselves - and how does that make you feel? Perhaps it wouldnt be this way if everyone years didnt try to make so much money off the native americans and native canadians. Simple Fur-trading went so far and did so much damage to our history, NOTHING will replace what we natives could have had.
I ask myself questions sometimes, some that you probably ask as well about your white self.
Here are a few, "Why should you pay for something you didnt do?" - what are you paying for? - roads that you drive on. Street lights that you stop at.. schools that you went to(and your children go to).
another Q: "How come they get Eduation and Medical?" - A: Nobody(in white communites) was complaining when they MADE natives go to Residensial School's long ago. Taking away culture, family, values, tradition.
Why is it now become an issue to the Non-Natives? Is it that nobody outside our culture wants us to become a smarter race? How about that question, If some people are so bend on making us as 'bad drunkin people' and not getting education, by not taking advantage of it, what do you care if we have it or not? What is the difference if we have it or not. Many people are greatful for it.

A: Teepee's, A Casino, A Bar!? Powwow's, ya. Bar's probably. Casinos' maybe. teepee's are obviously way off, in this day and age. One can only imagine what some people think about us natives. This has got to be one of the most UnEducated Questions I have ever heard of, Ever. Half of those place's evolved and migrated with Europeans from Europe. What WE had was SHARING communities. Everywhere, Everybody shared Everything. Back then, it would be pointless to have a casino or a bar, anywhere in our communities. Thank Europe for that one!

This is KANADA(Canada), your capital is ODAWA(Ottawa). You said this at every assembly while growing up in school, in OUR(yours and mine) national anthem.. 'HOME AND NATIVE LAND'. This my friend is the 'LAND OF THE FREE'.. not by your standards, but by the native peoples standards. We believed in something far more greater than 'right now', but the future, for my children, and their children and so on. You see us as "a bunch of dumb drunken indians", But who came out on top. We have free education, free medical, free homes and a swamp to put 'em in for a reason. treaty.
So heres a question for you - We accepted it long ago, WHY CANT YOU ??

I replied to this person earlier and I forgot to save the draft damn I wish I wasn't so hasty in giving her a piece of my Nishnawbe qwe mind!!! I will write some of what I could remember that was written:
In my opening statement I wrote that she obviously lacks education in all aspects of life, she can't even spell properly, and has no knowledge whatsoever of Native Americans by the way she presents herself. I wrote that she sounds like a disgruntled single mother with 5 kids with all different fathers and that she is directing her bitterness at the wrong people and the government is who she should be blaming for her bitterness---I said her racism will never ever wash away the shame her forefathers left behind, that their criminal past won't vanish through negativity. I wrote that all the disease she wrote about came from them---how many crackheads and serial killers are Native American??? I have pity on her and her racist group and Happy she doesn't feel sorry for me being a so called drunken indian LoL
